Today’s blog looks at the different types of materials used to make rotary unions and swivel joints.
Rotary Unions and Swivel Joints can be manufactured from almost any Material, generally they are made from Cast Iron, Mild Steel or Brass. In some circumstances they can be made from different grades of stainless steel depending on the application.
Rotary Unions and Swivel Joints made from Stainless Steel can often be found within the pharmaceutical or food industry.
Our standard ranges are usually manufactured from ferrous metals i.e. mild steel and cast iron, which are commonly used with water, steam, hot oil and air applications.
