Filton Rotary unions are also used within the plastic industry; you will normally find them on an extrusion machine, where the Filton Rotary Union is used to cool the screw and barrel.
Rotary unions are used for heating or cooling the many processing rolls throughout the wide variety of applications. In addition, rotary unions are used for air and hydraulic applications.
The manufacturing of plastic materials encompasses a wide variety of applications including cast film, blown film, flexible and rigid sheet extrusion, single and multi-layer co-extrusion, blow moulding, thermoforming, pelletizing, wire and cable and winding.
