Sunday 19th July 2020
Take a look at how our Unions are used in the Food Industry
Filton Rotary Unions can be used on a variety of machines within the Food Industry. The most commonly seen machines that use Rotary Unions are;
- Tilting Pans
- Flaking Mills
- Rotary Cereal Cookers
- Batch Cookers
Tilting Pans are used to heat and cook the product. A Filton Rotary Union will be used to pass steam through a stainless-steel vessel.
A Flaking Mill is used to dry food products. A Filton Rotary Union is used to heat a roller which helps to dry the food product as it passes over the roller.
A Rotary Cereal Cooker is used to cook and flavour the product. A Filton Rotary Union is used to pass steam and flavourings into the stainless-steel vessel.
A Batch Cooker is similar to a Cereal Cooker but on a smaller scale. These are used for product testing and for cooking various food products.
