Filton and the Environment.

To do this we have been:

• Reducing waste by re-using and recycling, for example;

            Sorting all our steel/stainless steel and other metals for recycling.

            Sorting paper and other recyclables and using a carbon neutral company for disposal/recycling.

• Purchasing recyclable, recycled or re-furbished products and materials when possible.
• Avoiding unnecessary use of hazardous materials and products and looking for alternatives.
• Promoting efficient use of materials and resources throughout.
• Ensuring any waste is disposed of in a way that minimises our environmental impact.

We have retained our green spaces and garden to ensure that we are supporting nature in our environment.  This means that we are providing pollen and habitat for insects and therefore food for the birds.

Over the last 10 years we have been working to improve our energy efficiency and further reduce our impact on the environment.

We have installed:

• New double glazed windows throughout to reduce heat loss.
• Installed solar panels including battery storage to generate our own electricity (as much as possible).
• Installed modern warm air heaters to heat our factory floor.
• Installed air source heat pumps to heat/cool the offices.
• Installed insulated roller shutter doors to reduce heat loss.
• Installed insulated sliding doors to reduce heat loss

Going forward we will continue to look for more ways that we can reduce our environmental impact and we are hoping to gain 14001 certification soon.
